Senior Structural Draftsperson

We are currently seeking a Senior Structural Draftsperson in our Burlington office to play a lead role in the delivery of functional / preliminary and detail structural projects. We are looking for someone with passion and drive, who is highly organized and can ensure that our high standard of quality is maintained. You will be required to produce structural drawings for varying complexity of buildings in the commercial, residential, institutional and industrial markets. Prospective candidate will oversee the development of our structural drafting department. The candidate will need to perform functions of creating structural drawings from conception to final design of a wide variety of commercial, education and residential projects. A commitment to providing exceptional client service and developing technical expertise to deliver practical, creative solutions is essential. Responsibilities Develop and lead a team of intermediate and junior draftspersons; Coordinate with project engineers, architects & design team; Develop drafting protocols; Create structural drawings; Deliver complete and accurate project drafting assignments within schedule parameters; Integrate design changes into models & plans; Maintain quality control standards for company drawings; Maintaining of overall project goals, constraints and schedule requirements; Participate in project coordination; Interact and communicate effectively and professionally with other team members; Identify design issues and constraints; Completion of detailed engineering design drawings for a variety of building materials, concrete, steel and wood structures. Qualifications Diploma in Engineering or Architectural Technology. + 5 years of experience in structural drafting. Ability to work quickly and efficiently Strong communication skills Positive attitude Extensive structural drafting experience in commercial, industrial, institutional and residential buildings. Extensive knowledge in concrete, steel, and wood structures; Proficiency in AutoCAD drafting Proficiency in 3-D modelling (Revit/AutoCAD) Demonstrated ability to work effectively as a member of multi-functional project teams Knowledge of Mechanical and electrical drafting, an asset. Senior and Junior Inspectors

Senior Inspectors wanted for Ministry of Transportation, Ontario and Municipal Construction Contract Administration Assignments. Primary Responsibilities: In the role of Senior Construction Inspector, we'll count on you to: Provide inspection and oversight of complex bridge, roadway and highway construction projects; Maintain accurate daily diary entries and completion of contract documentation records; Maintain daily photographic records, and videos as necessary to document contract activities; Complete site surveys of completed works for tracking item and material quantities for payment; Utilize Web-Based Contract Management System (WBCMS) on Ministry contracts; Complete daily inspections in accordance to client requirements; Monitoring construction work is in accordance with contract documents and specifications; Monitoring the contractor’s compliance to health and safety, and environmental regulations and legislation; Supervise and implement quality assurance acceptance and inspection of construction works; Report to the Project Manager and Contract Administrator onsite activities, concerns, and non- conformances, and provide recommendations for resolution; Provide mentorship to junior staff; Review and document implementation of traffic closures in accordance to contract documents; Liaise with client representatives, as required; Requires working nights, weekends, and extended shifts; Work may be seasonal in nature, as work permits; Other duties may be assigned. Qualifications Applicants must meet the following Qualification Requirements: OACETT Certified RCCA, RCSI, RCJI Road Construction Designation or licenced P. Eng. or E.I.T. Senior Inspectors must have 2 or more MTO or Municipal equivalent projects valued at $5,000,000.00 or more. Valid Class G Driver’s License and have access to a vehicle.
